　問１　生きるにも死ぬにも、あなたのただ一つの慰めは何ですか。

答え　わたしがわたし自身のものではなく、体も魂も、生きるにも死ぬにも、わたしの真実な救い主イエス・キリストのものであることです。この方は御自分の尊い血をもってわたしのすべての罪を完全に償い、悪魔のあらゆる力からわたしを解放してくださいました。また、天にいますわたしの父の御旨でなければ、髪の毛一本も落ちることができないほどに、わたしを守っていてくださいます。実に万事がわたしの救いのために働くのです。そうしてまた、御自身の聖霊によりわたしに永遠の命を保証し、今から後この方のために生きることを心から喜び、またそれにふさわしくなるように、整えてもくださるのです。

一節「おどろくばかりのめぐみなりき、この身のけがれを知れるわれに」

この神の恵み体験するために、JIパッカー師三つの要素がある、JIパッカー師はいう。（１）「けがれ」とあります。私たちは、恵みを受けるに自ら値しない。聞きたくない言葉ですが、私とあなたは「罪びと」（２）「けがれ」を清めるためには、自分自ら自分を清められない。無力です。（３）「おどろくばかりのめぐみ」は、キリストの十字架の犠牲によってのみ救われる。主イエスがあなたの受けるべき罰を代わりに受けた、と信じ受け入れる。

God Hates Gun Violence

Please read God Hates Gun Violence: We American Christians have a biblical call to reduce firearm deaths in our land.

I agree with magazine Christianity Today. "While we support the legitimacy of owning guns, given the violence of our land and God’s hatred of violence, we also see a need to regulate the purchase and use of guns...Will this alone eliminate American violence? Hardly. The problem runs too deeply in our veins...."  We need the Savior to change us from the inside out.

Proverbs 3:31, "Do not envy the violent or choose any of their ways."

Something interesting to note. "In Japan, the Haitōrei Edict (Sword Abolishment Edict) in 1876 all but banned carrying swords and guns on streets. These changes in Japanese society led to a number of samurai-led insurrections." If the Lord gave the Japanese wisdom to do so almost 150 years ago, should we not have the wisdom to at least regulate arms in the US?
